UTI, SHCIL headed for showdown over recovery of Bol Shareholding dues
The Unit Trust of India (UTI) has decided to raise the issue of non-payment of interest dues to it by BoI Shareholding, the clearing house for Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), at the board of Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd (SHCIL), the trust's custodian.
ICICI subsidiary rolls up its sleeves, mulls Rs 1,000 cr turnaround fund
ICICI Venture Funds Management Company Ltd plans to launch the country's first turnaround fund. The venture-capital company has initiated talks with multilateral agencies like the World Bank and intends to tap major domestic institutions to set up a fund with an initial corpus of Rs 1,000 crore.
Sebi plans measures to help small investors out of demat problems
Even as brokers are providing an exit route to small investors who want to sell their physical holdings without opening a demat account, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is also deliberating on measures to help small investors.
