Iron ore exports hit as global majors cut steel output
India's iron ore export trade has been threatened by a sharp cutback in crude steel output by major world steel producers due to demand recession.

Differences crop up among ISE members over uniform settlement
A difference of opinion among the participating bourses in the ISE on the proposed uniform settlement system by the SEBI may ensure that only a handful of the regional exchanges go on-line when the new network becomes operational on February 26. According to sources within the ISE, some of the major regional bourses like the HSE, Vadodra, BgSe, UP and Cochin have decided to keep away from trading on the new bourse if the SEBI does not relent on their request for a rethink on the proposed uniform settlement system.
