Marathon may pip peers in race for Essar Power
Marathon Power Company of USA has emerged as the front runner to acquire 49% equity stake in Essar Power. Essar group said that Marathon and Essar were in the final stages of negotiating the shareholders agreement.
Mahindra group plans to unveil new logo
The over Rs 3,000-crore Mahindra group has become the latest to go in for a new corporate logo. The group is replacing its existing group logo which had touches of Chrysler's Jeep brand of vehicle in it and has asked an independent designer to come up with a new logo.
BPL acquires 4 colour-television plants on lease
BPL Ltd has acquired four colour television manufacturing facilities in the country on a lease basis. This takes the company's CTV manufacturing capacity to two million units from the existing 1.2 million per annum.
