Maharashtra tax cut hits Gujarat bullion
Ahmedabad, the bullion city of Gujarat, is likely to lose some of it's market share in gold following Maharastra government's decision to slash sales tax on precious metals.
Ginger exports decline on lower crop arrivals this fiscal
Exports of ginger have dipped drastically in the current financial year as a result of a steep fall in arrivals. The ginger production has fallen by 40 % this year.

With the total area under wheat dropping by about three lakh hectares this year in Rajasthan due to low availability of water, marketmen expect a marked increase in the price of (wheat) compared to the previous year.
