Overseas Indians lobby for equity stake in insurance ventures
Overseas Indians, led by the Hindujas, have begun hectic lobbying with the Union government for allowing non-resident Indians (NRIs) to pick up equity stake in new private sector insurance companies.

The Centre has set up a multi-disciplinary committee to suggest an appropriate tax regime for mining and mineral-based industries. The panel would examine the existing tax regime and suggest a tax structure conducive to rapid development of minerals and mineral-based industries.
