India won't need contingency credit from IMF -- Jalan
India does not need to apply under the newly created contingent credit lines (CCL) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for it follows its monetary policy with caution and prudence, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Bimal Jalan has said.
South-East Railway relaunches luggage van scheme
South Eastern Railway, buoyed by demand from courier companies and small transporters, has re-launched an existing scheme that will now allow small users to book space in the luggage vans of passenger trains.
Textile policy may have to wait till new government
Political instability may delay the announcement of the new textile policy, at the final stage of preparation, if the industry's views are any indication. A committee is expected to submit the draft of the policy to the govt in May.
