Bank of Madura, ANZ tie up

ANZ Grindlays Bank and Bank of Madura (BoM) announced a strategic alliance to issue silver and gold credit cards. The ANZ-BoM card will carry the logos of both the banks and MasterCard. "The card will be initially be launched in eight cities and later introduced in 17 other places where BoM has strong networks," said an ANZ Grindlays release issued on Friday. The new card facility will be available by July.

Central Bank of India fined

The Central Bank of India Bori Bunder branch has been fined by the consumers' forum for negligence resulting in inconvenience to its customer-Indo Advertising. Indo Advertising has received a cheque for Rs 1.5 lakh from one of its customers four years ago and deposited the same in Bori Bunder branch of the bank, a company release said.
