ILFSC suggests majority stake for partner in power distribution
Contrary to the expectation of the Maharashtra government and the state electricity board (MSEB), the Institute of Leasing and Finance Services Company (ILFSC) Ltd has recommended that the joint venture partner be given majority share holding (51% ) in the proposed joint venture company (JVC) for distribution of electricity in the adjoining satellite town of Navi Mumbai.

Share of domestic vessels in Transchart shipments rises
The share of domestic shipping vessels in the cargo handled by the chartering wing of the ministry of surface transport has risen from 51% in 1997-98 to 65% in 1998-99. The Indian flag vessels handled 13.96 mn tonne last fiscal compared to 11.47 mn tonne in 1997-98 and 12.6 mn tonne in 1996-97.
