Pune, June 27: Standard Chartered Bank launched investment services in Pune last week. This is the second centre of the bank outside the metros where this service has been launched. The other centre is in Kanpur. The bank has been able to build up a customer base of around 8000 customers for this service.
This will be a complimentary service offered to not only the Standard Chartered Bank account holders and Standard Chartered credit card holders but also to outsiders who want to avail the service, Ajay Kanwal, head, banking products, consumer banking, Standard Chartered Bank said.
The bank would offer unbiased researched investment options for customers, Kanwal said. The advise would be restricted to mutual funds and bonds and not cover stock market investments. The bank would also undertake after sales service such as redeeming of funds and offer a single point liason for all purchases done through the bank.
