US-64 bounces back after mega revamp
The equity portfolio of US-64 has turned healthier following a mega restructuring exercise undertaken by the Unit Trust of India during 1998-99. Apart from the transfer of weak PSU stocks to the Special Unit Scheme (SUS), UTI churned its portfolio in favour of highly liquid and growth stocks.

Few expectations from tea stocks this year
The declining trend in the production of tea seen since the latter part of last year is continuing this year as well. The performance reported by tea companies for the first quarter also reflect this fact and the current year is likely to be worse than the previous year.
