Market expects Sensex to touch 5000 points
Shares are expected to reach new highs this week and test 5,000 points, driven by election-related buying and the country's firming economy.

Call rates likely to hover around 8%
Call rates remained close to 8% during the past week, tightening slightly on Saturday to 9% levels primarily due to the Rs 2,500 crore outflow on account of auction of 11.99 per cent 2009 paper.

FMC appoints consultants to beef up exchanges
