Bigwigs kick off battle for Delhi today
The fate of several political bigwigs, will be sealed in the ballot boxes on Sunday when the nation goes for the first phase of polling in 145 Lok Sabha constituencies spread over 16 states and union territories.

As the first phase of polls begins on Sunday, the hustings have witnessed colourful scenes. Film stars have always lent their glamour to politics but this year wrestlers, economists and socialites have clamoured around the candidates.
`NDA will give priority to opening up of insurance sector if voted to power'
Finance minister Yashwant Sinha on Saturday said the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), if returned to power, will give top priority to opening up the insurance sector and the introduction of the single value-added tax (Vat) system.
