Campaign for Lok Sabha elections ends
Curtains came down this evening on the campaign for the current Lok Sabha elections, the longest in recent times, with the BJP-led NDA seeking a more decisive mandate for stability and the Congress claiming that historically it alone had been cut out to provide a stable government.

Polling in Dhubri, four Bihar seats on October 28
Lok Sabha elections in Dhubri constituency of Assam, which were adjourned following the killing of BJP candidate Pannalal Oswal, will now be held on October 28 along with four constituencies of Bihar, the Election Commission said on Firday.

Irked BJP reasserts NDA legitimacy
The Bharatiya Janata Party has charged the Congress with initiating a "spurious constitutional debate" by claiming that there is no entity called the National Democratic Alliance and preparing for a "constitutional perversion" so that in the event of NDA getting majority, it is disregarded.
