SS-BJP postpones election of leader
The ruling Shiv Sena-BJP alliance, in view of lack of unanimity on taking possible support from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Sharad Pawar for the formation of government in Maharashtra, on Saturday failed to elect its leader of the state assembly.

Congress, NCP to hold talks to form state government
Bowing to the pressure from various quarters, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Saturday expressed their desire to hold talks on a possible tie up for the formation of government in the state in a bid to keep the "communal" Shiv Sena-BJP alliance out of power.
