CanBank to pay 12.5% dividend for Canexpo
CanBank Investment Management Services Ltd has declared an interim income distribution of 12.5 per cent for its Canexpo scheme for 2000-01. The scheme has achieved compounded annual growth rate of 127.05 per cent over the last one year based on net asset value (NAV) of Rs 17.09 as on May 24, 2000, the company said in a release here today. NAV, for the scheme stood at Rs 18.11 as at May end, it added. The units were available on cum-dividend basis with 1.5 per cent entry load and no exit load for those investors exiting after one year from the date of investment.FII investment in Pentamedia
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has informed that the holdings of foreign institutional investors in Pentamedia Graphics Ltd (formerly Pentafour Software and Escorts Ltd) have gone down below 28 per cent of its paid up capital. As such, the restriction placed on the purchase of shares of Pentamedia Graphics Ltd in behalf of FIIs has been withdrawn. It will, therefore, be in order now to purchase the shares of the company in the secondary market on behalf of FII clients which have obtained the RBI permission to invest under the portfolio investment scheme subject to the existing norms, an RBI release said.
New office-bearers of NASD
The National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), the parent of the Nasdaq-Amex market group, at its AGM today elected Arvind Sodhani, vice president, treasurer Intel Corporation among seven other candidates as a governor on the NASD board of governors.
