HSBC to consolidate operations first; not to forego new opportunities either
International banking group HSBC Holdings, fresh from its purchase of French bank CCF, said on Monday it would not rule out making fresh acquisitions if opportunities came along. For the moment, the priority was to consolidate its recent deals, Group chief executive Keith Whitson said.
