Lagardere share plunges 6.94%
Paris: Shares in French group Lagardere plunged by 6.94 per cent to 65.75 euros in midday trading in Paris on Monday. A subsidiary of the Lagardere group, Europe 1 Communication, reported that first-half net profits had fallen by 78 per cent from the equivalent figure 12 months ago which had included exceptional gains.The first-half figure fell to 99.5 million French francs ($13.68 million from 452.1 million francs, boosted by gains from the sale of poster advertising group Giraudy. But current profits rose to 177.7 million francs from 96.5 million francs. Lagardere's interests include a stake in the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS).
