Exotic destinations beckon the traveller

HUMA SIDDIQUI
So far Indian travellers have had to depend on run-of-the-mill, `if this is Tuesday, we must be in Belgium', kind of foreign tours put together for them by travel agencies. But the Geographical Company, an Indo-Israeli venture, seeks to change it all. The company, which is a joint venture between the V K Modi Group in India and The Geographical Company of Israel, will now offer exotic destinations to Indian travellers. The Geographical Company, Israel, has been operating tours to some of the most exciting places in the world for over 30 years and built for itself a reputation for developing and promoting high quality tours.

"The Geographical Company believes that the full picture is made up of many tiny details and we would like to share them all with our customers," says Mr Sandeep Dayal, chief operating officer of the company in India.

Tour managers are chosen not only for their ability to escort groups, but also for their knowledge, education and ability to communicate and lead people. Most importantly, they all have a prefect blend of intellectual depth and real emotional experiences in every place to which they take their customers, he says.

Each tour is designed to intrigue, educate, surprise and delight guests. "Our business forte is individual travellers and we provide them personalised care right from the time of departure to their arrival at a destination," adds Mr Dayal.

These trips include luxurious camping safaris, great cruise options, all-inclusive family getaways, self-drive holidays and stays at exclusive resorts and safaris. The Geographical Company's India operations has its headquarters in New Delhi with a network of sales offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
