Karnataka Cong chief's post may fall in Bangarappa's lap
The AICC leadership is convinced that only a strong leadership would refurbish the party image in Karnataka that was a Congress stronghold. The AICC has felt the need for a person who can pull crowds in all parts of the state, former chief minister S Bangarappa is emerging as consensus choice for the post.

Sonia unlikely to affect power equation: Pawar
The entry of Sonia Gandhi into the Congress folds would hardly affect the balance of power in the party, according to former Maharashtra chief minister Sharad Pawar. Pawar welcomed the development but asserted that Sonia Gandhi was not interested in assuming any party post. She is however concerned about the party.

Bhattal likely to be PCC chief
