TODAY'S CROSSWORD TODAY'S ZODIAC

Chit chat with Karan Thapar

[Details] Karan Thapar -- He's the guy whose TV interviews you read in the newspapers rather than see on TV. That's because In Focus with Karan Thapar, has been on Home TV, a channel which is still to become the viewer's first, second, maybe even third choice. Well-known for his abrasive style, Thapar is a persistent, even irritating interviewer. Less well known is the fact that he was Director of Programming, Home TV.

Earshot -- Double trouble

[Details] Ravi Sailaab Rai sure has made a name for himself through this one serial. As luck would have it, he's now got two serials, both soaps of the same genre, scheduled on two rival channels - SONY and ZEE. The serial on Sony is called Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai and the one on ZEE is called Teacher. The irony is that both serials will be on air within a month of each other and both the channels have given him the same time slot!

Mixing up matters

[Details] It was 10.45 pm. CNN. The voice was Ross Perot's, one-time American presidential candidate and a right royal pest. "I felt strongly this is part of the Russian heritage and should be returned," he proclaimed grandiloquently.
