Bhansali admits owing Rs 514 cr to investors

[Details] Arrested CRB Capital Markets chief C R Bhansali, has informed the CBI during an interrogation that he owed Rs 514 crore to creditors. CBI sources said that the agency has recorded Bhansali's statement in this connection at Mumbai under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

RBI Act amendments likely: FM

[Details] In view of the recent developments in the financial sector surrounding the Rs 1,200-crore CRB scam, the government may make further amendments in the Reserve Bank of India Act (RBI Act), 1934 which governs the RBI regulation of the financial sector.
