Vaghela claims of patch-up with Congress

[Details] In a rare display of transperancy of the administration, Gujarat Chief Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela yesterday handed over important documents pertaining to the small power projects agreement to Leader of the Opposition Suresh Mehta. Vaghela's gesture was in connection with serious allegation of corruption levelled by Mehta against the government in the agreement.

Ministers flay attack on Bhujbal's house

[Details] Some Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ministers have condemned the Shiv Sena attack on the official residence of leader of Opposition in the council Chhagan Bhujbal and his assembly counterpart Madhukar Pichad. They were shocked that the attack was led by a Member of Parliament (MP) and some Sena legislators and councillors also being involved in the act.

Attack on Bhujbal: Munde admits to lapses

[Details] On the eve of the visit of Union home minister Indrajit Gupta to assess the law and order situation today, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Munde yesterday admitted that there was dereliction of duty on the part of the police officials deployed at the residence of senior Congress leaders Chhagan Bhujbal and Madhukar Pichad.
