TODAY'S CROSSWORD TODAY'S ZODIAC

All that glitters

[Details] In the West, people are willing to pay thousands of dollars to own Marilyn Monroe's under garments and other star memorabilia like Elvis Presley's jacket or Madonna's Evita outfits. But in India -- where Bollywood rules the real and fantasy worlds of the masses -- there is no such glitter attached to the silks that caress their silver screen idols' bodies.

BIRLA GLOBAL

A thinking Barbie

[Details] The house is surprisingly spartan and linear. Grey marble floors, ebony geometric cuts for furniture and elegant steel-blue upholstery. No decorative bibelots or sumptuous satiny tasseled hassocks thrown about her home. Urmila Matondkar's home reveals none of her Rangeela re oomph or her middle-class Maharashtrian upbringing save for an orange formica Ganesha idol in an unobtrusive corner.

In God's country

[Details] Costly films are not new to Bollywood, and neither are mythologicals. What is news is a big-budget mythological feature film. And the movie in question is Luv Kush. This over Rs 10-crore project, produced by Dilip Kankaria and directed by V Madhusudan Rao is slottet for release on July 25. The film has been made on the lines of a Telugu film by the same name that was made in 1961.
