Bring back self-esteem -- Supreme Commander Narayanan

India's armed forces have a new Supreme Commander, their ninth since the Republic was born. While President K.R. Narayanan will be assuming office today his soldiers, sailors and airmen will be operating as remorseless as ever -- from the 20,000 feet heights of the Siachen glacier to 1,000 feet depths of the Navy's submarines.
