Cos plan pvt placement of Rs 25,000-cr

Over 150 companies, mainly public sector companies, municipal corporations and state electricity boards, have plans to make private placement of bonds and non-convertible debentures to mobilise a whopping amount of Rs 25,000 crore.

Ministries okay 100% foreign stake in small oilfields

The petroleum and industry ministries have agreed to allow 100% foreign equity in small discovered oilfields of national oil companies. Foreign equity will, however, be restricted to 60% for un-incorporated joint ventures and 51% for incorporated JVs for medium sized fields.
