[Details] Krishan Kant was yesterday sworn in as the 10th Vice-President of the country at a brief ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Kant was Andhra Pradesh Governor before his election. He defeated the Akali Dal-BJP candidate Surjit Singh Barnala in a straight contest.
