Govt files caveats on Suzuki

The central government has filed caveats in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court pre-empting any move of the Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) challenging the single bench order of the high court. Meanwhile, Bhaskarudu's appointment was ratified at the AGM with MUL chairman Prabir Sengupta exercising his casting vote.

Auditors pick holes in Ceat report

The auditors have made several exceptional remarks about the investment policies and inadequate provisioning by Ceat Ltd in various investment companies of the group. They also expressed their inability to make opinion on the realisability of investments and interest dues worth Rs 119.43 crore or the impact of these on the balance sheet of the company.

Hyundai plans auto parts subsidiary

Korean car major Hyundai Motors has decided to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary for manufacture of auto components. The subsidiary will manufacture critical components, specialised parts and fabricate sheets to cater to the car project it is setting up in India.
