November 9: Five persons were killed on the spot, and four others injured seriously, when a jeep and truck collided head-on on the Mumbai-Ahmedbad highway at Kasa near Dahanu, this morning.

The district police said the jeep was coming from Gujarat and the truck was on its way to Gujarat. The police at the district headquarters here were helpless as they could not get further information about the incident till this evening. The information couldn't be obtained due to some communication problems, sources informed.
