Saddam throws open palace portals

[Details] Iraq on Thursday invited United Nations (UN) experts to inspect President Saddam Hussein's palaces to see whether they contained banned weapons or materials, the official Iraqi news agency INA said. The latest statement said Iraq's suggestion was to "direct yet another slap" at the United States which has demanded unfettered access by UN arms experts to these sites.
