[Details] Gujarat Governor Krishna Pal Singh may have had an axe to grind in the dissolution of the state Assembly but this does not detract from the merit of the decision. It has brought to an end the farcical drama that has been going on in the state ever since Shankersinh Vaghela opted out of the BJP to form his own party.

[Details] Edouard Laboulaye wept bitterly as he saw the great ideals of liberte, fraternite, egalite (liberty, fraternity, equality) collapsing before his eyes. For those ideals, France had gone through a bloody revolution. Almost a century had passed and yet they remained elusive.
