Hong Kong judge Gerald Godfrey must now be understanding the tribulations of life under the media glare. His refusal to allow a leading Hong Kong newspaper, the Oriental Daily News, to carry a lawsuit against their rivals to a higher court has landed him in this plight. The paper has dispatched a team of 8-10 staffers with instructions to follow the judge round-the-clock in a bid to teach him a lesson about paparazzi.
Elixir of youth: Enzyme keeps cells from dying
Man's perpetual search for eternal youth may finally be over. Scientists in Texas have found what they term "the elixir of youth", an alleged fountain of youth for the human cell. The new manna for mankind is an enzyme called "telomerase" which halts the normal biological clocks of cells and enables them to continue dividing, thereby prolonging their life.
