Vajpayee promises law to solve Ayodhya issue
Atal Behari Vajpayee today said that if the BJP was voted to power, it would introduce a legislation to solve the Ayodhya issue only if all efforts for a negotiated settlement fail. Bhagat, Tytler, Sajjan denied tickets

The axing of the infamous trio, all alleged to be directly involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi, came after a protracted struggle. 10, Janpath was apparently insistent that they be kept out at any cost especially after Sonia had expressed regret for Operation Bluestar and the riots which followed.

However, given Karunakaran's seniority in the party, an election sub-committee was supposed to meet again today to thrash out the issue.
