MUMBAI: The discount war among international airlines is finally over. In an emergency meeting held today in New Delhi, the Board of Airline Representataives (BAR) decided unanimously to discontinue discounts on tickets. All the airlines have decided to book discounted tickets only till February 15, while the last date of outbound travel has been fixed at April 5. According to an Air India official, BAR has also decided to set a uniform cut off date of April 5 for outbound travel on tickets booked under the various discount schemes offered by the airlines for west-bound flights.

With this, British Airways and Air India would extend their last date of booking discounted tickets from January 31 to February 15. Similarly both the airlines would allow passengers to begin their outbound travel till April 5 instead of March 31.
