Bombay Div Selection chess

The Bombay Chess Association will be conducting the Division Selection tournament from February 5 at the Zandu Pharmaceutical Works Canteen. The tournament forms the basis of selection of the Bombay Division team. Interested players should confirm their entries with DB Pulekar at the venue between 6.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. or contact him on 5130943.

Squash tourney from February 11

The Indian Squash Professionals will be organising the ISP-Mahesh Babu Securities Satellite tournament from February 11-15 at the Otters Club. There are four events men's, women's, professionals and juniors singles. The tournament is open to all squash players in the country. Entries should be faxed to ISP (8525589) before Feb 5.

Autocross for four wheelers

An autocross for four wheelers, sponsored by Maruti Udyog Ltd, will be held at the National Sports Club of India on February 22. The competition will be held in ten events. Entries should be sent before February 12. Moredetails can be had from Sportscraft, 3rd floor, Siri Road, Chowpatty Bandstand, Mumbai 6 or on 3677631.

Veterans' National badminton

The veterans National Badminton Championship for over 45 men and women will be held at the Bombay Gymkhana here from February 15 to 18. The All-India Veterans Open doubles Badminton Tournament, including mixed doubles, is to be held concurrently by the Badminton 45 and Bombay Gymkhana.

Mahindras cricket tournament

The 37th KC Mahindra Memorial Invitation overs-limited cricket tournament gets under way from February 3 at various ground of the city. The city's eight institutional teams -- Tatas, SunGrace, RCF, Air-India, Mahindras, BPCL, Central Railway and Western Railway -- would be vying for top honours in the event that culminates with the final on February 20.
