Siddharth survives scare

JANUARY 29: Second seed Siddharth Suchde was stretched to five sets by CCI compatriot Mihir Seth in the quarter-final of the 1.25 lakh PIX Junior Squash Championship at the Otters Club today.Going with a 2-1 lead, Siddharth lost the fourth set 6-9 to make it anybody's match. An upset looked very much on cards with Mihir taking a 7-3 lead. But the latter's formidable opponent held on to his nerves to win seven straight points to clinch the set and match. The final scores read 7-9, 9-6, 9-7, 6-9, 9-7.All the other seeds sailed through without much trouble.
