VADODARA, February 4: North Zone champs Haryana and West Zone runners-up Vadodara clash in the opening Ranji Trophy Super League match which promises to be a keen battle here at the IPCL ground from Thursday.Both the teams will be without their regular captains, who have reported unfit. Vijay Yadav takes the place of Ajay Jadeja at the helm for Haryana while Tushar Arothe will lead the hosts in place of Kiran More.
Vadodara, with their strong batting line-up, look the better side on paper. Haryana's manager-coach Sarkar Talwar rated his team's chances as "even", considering they have never played against Vadodara. "We have only read about them," he said.
