17-yr-old stabbed to deathA 17-Year-old boy was stabbed by two youths on Wednesday after a fight over what was reportedly some trivial matter in Wazirpur J J colony in Ashok Vihar in North-West Delhi.
According to the police, a few days ago Shiv Kumar reportedly had some differences with Kapil and his brother Jitendra. On his way back home after a visit to his uncle he was stopped by the two youths. The two apparently, stabbed the teenager in the in front of his uncle. No arrests have been made so far.
Boy missing after failing three exams
A 13-Year-Old boy has been missing from his home in the G.B. Pant hospital premises in central Delhi for the past two days. He was apparently afraid of showing his report card to his parents as he had failed in three subjects.According to K.C. Dogra, who is employed as technical staff at G.B. Pant hospital, Pankaj had been asked to go and fetch bread from a store in the premises at 9:30 p.m.
``After 15-20 minutes I went looking for him in theadjoining area. When I failed to find him I lodged a case in the police station. I had been inquiring about his performance in the December exams and I found out later when I went to the school that the results had been announced and he had failed in three subjects,'' said Dogra.
Man commits suicide
A 40-year-old man committed suicide in Sainik Farm in South Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police, Vijay Kumar Roy was employed as a guard in Sainik Farms. He was living in a room that had been constructed on the otherwise vacant plot. A native of Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, he had earlier been employed as a driver and had took up this job only a fortnight ago.
Though, the police said, no suicide note has been found, it is believed that he had not been keeping well for quite sometime and was depressed.
Body found
The body of a 30-year-old man was found in the cremation ground at Gazipur in East Delhi on Thursday. According to the police, Ramchander was employed as a securityguard in a godown in Gazipur. He was going back to his home in Trilokpuri after finishing his duty at 9 p.m.. According to the police, he had stab injuries. A case of murder has been registered and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
Man robbed
Four unidentified persons robbed an East Delhi dry-cleaner of jewellery and money amounting to Rs 60,000 on Tuesday night.
The dry-cleaner was in his shop when the robbers barged into his house around 8 p.m.. His wife, who was the only person inside at that time, opened the door assuming the youths to be her husband's acquaintances. The robbers tied her hands and feet before ransacking the house. They fled the spot when she raised an alarm. The police suspect that that a Nepali servant, who used to work at the dry-cleaner's house until recently, is behind the robbery.
