SPLIT, CROATIA, February 6: Top seed Greg Rusedski hardly broke sweat to beat Czech Martin Damm 6-1 6-4 and advance to the semifinals of the $400,000 Croatian Indoor Men's tournament today.Rusedski, who has yet to drop a set, displayed both great serving and return qualities throughout the match. Rusedski now meets fifth seed Marc Rosset of Switzerland, who earlier today beat German Rainer Schuttler 6-2 6-2.
German veteran Boris Becker bowed out of after a second-round loss to home favourite, Goran Ivanisevic. The 27-year-old Croat, a double title-holder here, prevailed in three sets, 7-6 (8-6), 6-7 (7-9), 6-4.
In his match against Becker, Ivanisevic could have wrapped thing up earlier, had he taken advantage of two match points in the second set tie-breaker.
