PORT OF SPAIN (TRINIDAD), Feb 6: Nasser Hussain and Angus Fraser frustrated West Indies for nearly an hour and a half with obdurate and courageous batting on the second morning of the second Test today.England, who were 175 for eight in their first innings overnight, added 39 more in 86 minutes at Queens Park Oval before they were bowled out for 214 just before lunch.
West Indies had only five overs batting before the interval and scored eight without loss, although only one run came off the bat.
Yesterday, a controversial run out immediately after tea saw the end of Adam Hollioake.Television replays showed that wicketkeeper David Williams knocked off a bail with his glove before catching the ball. Third umpire Clyde Cumberbatch, who amazingly did not have access to all the TV angles, erroneously confirmed the earlier decision.
