JAMSHEDPUR, February 6: Maharashtra's J Luthraraj was adjudged the best lifter (267.5 kg) in 69 kg men's Inter-State Championship on the third day of the 50th men's Senior National Weightlifting Championship here today. He was followed by P Yadav Krishnan (Tamil Nadu) and Mahakaiphyzullu (Andhra Pradesh).N Krishnamurty and G Vadivelu bagged the gold medals in 62 kg and 69 kg categories respectively. Krishnamurty cleared 115 kgs in snatch and 150 kgs in jerk bringing the total to 265 kgs. Vadivelu lifted a total of 282.5 kgs with the break up of 122.5 kg (snatch) and 160 kg (jerk) in respective categories.
Srikant Mudi of West Bengal was declared winner in 62 kg Inter-State meet defeating M Sureshbabau, of Tamil Nadu, and Krishna Chand Sahu, of Orissa.
