  Naidu still opposed to Cong
The United Front remained divided on extending support to Congress in ministry formation at the Centre in the face of stiff resistance from Telugu Desam. Differences arose at a UF core committee meeting yesterday when TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu strongly rejected the idea of the Front supporting a Congress-led government to keep the BJP out.
  Jaya to meet BJP leaders on Sunday
Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Atal Behari Vajpayee and party president L K Advani reportedly contacted AIADMK supremo J Jayalalitha on Thursday morning, urging her to join a BJP government, which they hoped to form at the Centre. Jayalalitha is likely to leave for Delhi on Sunday to hold discussions with the BJP leadership on the issue.
