Wisden urges ICC probe on rigging
Wisden, the annually published cricketing almanac -- the cricketing bible to many -- has called on the Cricket's international governing body to conduct an investigation into allegations of gambling and match fixing. Matthew Engel, Editor of Wisden, who has ruffled feathers in the cricket establishment before suggests that an emphasis on "meaningless" One-day internationals and an International Cricket Council which puts the stress on quantity rather than quality are the main challenges facing the game.

Manohar packs off Bengal
An incredible eight leg before decisions in the second innings, including four on the fifth and final day of this quarter-final match, spelt Bengal's doom at the Gymkhana In Hyderabad yesterday. Hyderabad romped home by 44 runs to cruise into the semi-finals of the Ranji Trophy cricket championship after a gap of two years.
