  Holy cow! Cattle industry sues Oprah again
US television talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey is being sued again, this time by another group of cattlemen who say her program caused them to lose money. A group of 137 members of the Cactus Feeding Club Inc. filed suit in 69th District Court here on Thursday asking for one million dollars in damages.
  Dhobi paid for being featured in US tea ad
Shyam Lal, an 80-year-old dhobi, was given a cheque of Rs 19,000 by the US-based Tazo Tea Company for `accidentally' featuring in their advertisement. But he cannot encash it yet as he does not have a bank account. Shyam Lal has a make-shift shop in the Spice Market near Chandni Chowk.

Bangalore to have theme-based busts
Bangalore's prime locations will soon have sculptures in cement done in the 12th-century architectural style. The theme-based sculptures are an effort ot revive the rich cultural and architectural heritage of the State, according to Partheeban, whose private Partheeban Corporation is taking up the project, entitled `Faces', jointly with the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.
Thawing memories of the great Antarctic experience
For the excited group of sixty Indians, sunrise had never been so momentous. Last July, the team stood outside a specially constructed thermostatically insulated building, waiting for daybreak. And as the sun emerged -- rising on Antarctica after its customary six-month-long hibernation -- the waiting group cheered, swept up in a wave of euphoria. It was party time.

Titanic survivor's ride to fame -- For one of the last Titanic survivors, all it took was 86 years and one monster of a movie to make her a full-fledged celebrity. Millvina Dean, an Englishwoman with a kindly air, held court with journalists, signed autographs and acted as guest of honour yesterday as the Titanic Historical Society opened its three-day annual convention. It's a curious fame.
Basu agrees on Kidwai as Governor
West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu has agreed to accommodate the BJP-led Government's request to transfer Bihar Governor A R Kidwai to his State. In return, Home Minister L K Advani assured Basu that he would be consulted before a new governor is appointed to West Bengal when Kidwai's term ends on August 12 this year.
