Swadeshi Jagran Manch, RSS hatch plan to muscle way into key ministries
The Swadeshi Jagran Manch has asked the Centre to set up coordination committees in the economic ministries for looking into critical issues such as amendments to the Exim policy and conforming to the WTO charter. Seeking a watchdog role, the manch has said that the government should not agree to WTO's further proposals.

A committee to checkmate Jaya
Shaken by AIADMK chief Jayalalitha's sudden demands and resultant damage to the month-long Bharatiya Janata Party-led Government and the coalition, a coordination committee on the lines of the United Front is being set up at the Centre. The committee will meet on April 26 and 27, BJP leader and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Jaswant Singh said yesterday.

Forget Srikrishna panel report, says Joshi
After repeated assurances and denials, the Maharashtra Government has finally ruled out tabling the much-awaited Srikrishna Commission report on the 1992-93 Mumbai riots during the current session of the State Legislature. Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi blamed the delay on logistical reasons and its potential implications while announcing the decision on the floor of the State Assembly.
