Sonia retains Digvijay Singh
Congress president Sonia Gandhi took the second of her two important decisions over the last two days. She has allowed Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh time in his post till November overriding objections from leaders like Arjun Singh, but put the CM on notice holding him solely responsible for what will happen in the coming Assembly elections in November.

Gill will have to go, says Swaraj
A stalemate over the fate of the Prasar Bharati is on the cards with Information & Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj stating that CEO S S Gill will have to go because the Ordinance has lapsed and the government will introduce a new Bill. However, Gill is not keen on resigning and moreover Congress and the UF are unlikely to rubber-stamp the new Bill that Swaraj intends to introduce.

Naik dares CM to sack him
