TADA cases to be reviewed fast, says PM
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Thursday assured a delegation representing TADA detainees that all Terrorists and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act cases would be expeditiously reviewed. An informal review committee might be set up in the Home Ministry to look into the cases so that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) could be asked not to oppose the bail pleas of those "unfairly" languishing in jail.

Hindu exodus to Poonch; curfew continues
The killing of four Hindus by militants in Surankote town on Tuesday night has prompted migration of about 250 members of the minority community from the area to nearby Poonch town, where curfew continued for the second consecutive day yesterday. About 55 families, comprising 250 people, arrived in Poonch town from Surankote, officials said.

Unidentified disease claims thirteen children in Gurgaon
The death of at least 13 children due to an unidentified illness over the last fortnight in the Delhi-Haryana border town of Gurgaon has flummoxed the medical community. The children, aged between two months and four years, were brought to Kalawati Saran hospital in New Delhi from Gurgaon and its adjoining areas, all afflicted by loose motions, fever and vomiting.
