Interestingly, dealers of Mahindra & Mahindra and Telco reiterated that the two companies were yet to effect any price increase for their vehicles. In the case of Telco, the hike would apply to the Sumo and Safari, while in case of M&M, it would be the Armada jeep. Observers say the two companies would first wait for the other to make an announcement. This has been attributed to the fact that they have a combined market share of over 85 per cent in the multi-utility vehicle (MUV) segment and are fierce competitors here.
