Sinha promises dual citizenship to NRIs
Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha quoted that the government was committed to giving dual citizenship to non-resident Indians, and Persons of Indian Origin scheme announced in the budget was a step towards this. BJP has been advocating for quite some time the need to give dual citizenship to NRIs as a step to involve them more in the economic development.

Govt to limit number of new insurance firms
The government is going to put a limit on the number of companies which can enter the insurance sector once it is opened up. Indicating this today, well placed sources said that the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) Bill granting statutory status will be introduced in the Parliament by October.
