No proposal to change UT status

NEW DELHI, June 9: There is no proposal before the government to change the constitutional position of Chandigarh, the Lok Sabha was told today.In a written reply, Home Minister L. K. Advani said the Centre would like the states concerned to sort out their differences over the matter amicably. The government would be willing to help in the matter, he added.
