On the sidewalk
Home is where the heart is, at least for Jackie Shroff. And since the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, it comes as no surprise that Jaggu dada considers a small restaurant at Teenbatti, Walkeshwar, his home -- his ancestral home. Today, he lives in a posh flat in Bandra but mention the word "Gurunath" -- an Udipi restaurant on the Teenbatti naka -- and he says, "the best usal in town". And even today, Jackie makes it a point to go home and stock up on the goodies.

Rickshaw Ride of Life
So, just how far from Town are the Suburbs? The distance between a well paid MNC job and a job with an Indian company... The distance between arriving and struggling to get there... The distance between the old city and the happening new one... For me the distance between Town and the Suburbs is a mere auto ride. But what a ride! The spirit of suburbia careers on three wheels over every obstacle that the city or BMC can construct.

Stuck in the Mud
After 16 years in the advertising industry, Gopi Kukde took a sabbatical. But instead of rocking in an easy chair and watching the sunset, for the last eight years he has played with mud. A full-time potter, Kukde has floated a one-stop-shop for ceramic artefacts of clueless shapes and sizes --there isn't a single piece that has a conventional curve or dip.
